Children ages 2 to 12 are invited to join us for some reading fun.
Every time you read library books for 20 minutes (or someone reads to you),
you color in a block on your reading log. Every hour equals a star on your whale.
You will receive a bag and a certificate when you turn in 1 hour; then, you'll receive a small prize for every 10 hours you read.
The fun starts now so stop by and pick up your reading log soon!
For children ages 5 and up, we also have free programs for you to attend.

Note: No child may be left unattended at the library during the programs.
In addition, due to space limitations, daycares may not attend programs.
However, we welcome daycare participation in the reading part of the summer reading program; please contact us at 498-3141 to make special arrangements to participate in the program.
Our special preschool programs for ages 2 - 5 will begin again on the first Thursday in September.

Fill out the registration card.
Save your receipt when you check out. You can use this as your list of library books read.
Cross out any books you didn't get around to reading, then give your receipt to the librarian when you return your books.
For each library book you read, your name will go into a drawing for a $20 gift certificate from Books-A-Million.
(The more you read the more chances you have. For example, if you read 10 books, you will have 10 chances to win!)
There will be 2 drawings. One on July 16th for receipts turned in by July 9th and one on August 20th for receipts turned in between July 10th and August 13th.
Chapter books, teen books, and adult books may be counted.
